Melody Ryan is a Certified Public Accountant and owner of Melody Ryan Accounting, a practice she launched part-time and expanded into a full-time firm by responding to client demand with strategic growth. Today, she provides individuals, small businesses, and nonprofit organizations with services including tax preparation and planning, bookkeeping, accounting, and business consulting. A UCLA graduate with a degree in Business Economics and a minor in Accounting, she began her career as a financial auditor at Grant Thornton and has since served in leadership roles across corporate and nonprofit organizations before pursuing entrepreneurship. Through her firm, Melody has helped entrepreneurs and organizations navigate growth, compliance, and financial strategy, with a focus on empowering business owners to make sound, forward-looking decisions. She is also deeply involved in her community, volunteering extensively in financial roles in local schools, her neighborhood, and her church, while also working directly with students as a coach for academic clubs. She is especially proud to mentor students and young professionals—encouraging the next generation of leaders to approach business with both confidence and collaboration. In addition to her professional practice, Melody has devoted nearly two decades to civic service in Pflugerville. She has served on the City Council, Parks & Recreation Commission, Finance & Budget Committee, and multiple city and school district bond committees. As a past board member of the Pflugerville Community Development Corporation (PCDC), she helped evaluate projects based on community impact and return on investment. Melody also served 17 years as Treasurer of her homeowners association, where she successfully oversaw the development of a park and trail—all accomplished with no increase in dues for 17 years. A strong advocate for collaboration, fiscal responsibility, and opportunity, Melody combines her entrepreneurial experience with civic leadership to help Pflugerville remain a thriving community for both residents and businesses.
