Stacy Rhone
Stacy Rhone is the CEO of BiGAUSTIN, an organization that has experienced remarkable growth since 2009, serving over 3000+ small and minority businesses annually. Under Stacy's leadership, BiGAUSTIN has made significant contributions to the central Texas economy, generating more than $35 million through its education, training, and consulting services. Stacy oversees the CDFI and CDE certifications by the US Department of Treasury. She directed the Texas Business Opportunity Development Center for TxDOT from 2010-2015, the sole provider during 2012-2015. Additionally, she managed the central Texas SBA Women's Business Center from 2009-2017. In 2019, BiGAUSTIN was designated as a HUD Envision Center, recognizing Stacy's vision for Social and Economic Advancement in Housing. Under Stacy's leadership, BiGAUSTIN achieved notable accolades, including the Rising Star Award for SBA lending in 2010-2011. The organization was chosen by Yahoo! Remake America National Documentary Series to provide small business consulting and advice. In 2011, BiGAUSTIN received the Hewlett Packard (HP) LIFE Training Grant and was named the Top Performing HP LIFE Center in the US in 2012. In 2013, BiGAUSTIN won the eBay Small Business Challenge, and in 2014, it was recognized as the SBA "Women's Business Center of Excellence." In 2020, Stacy led the purchase of 38 acres in an Opportunity Zone for BiGAUSTIN's new headquarters and ASPIRE I, a 360-unit affordable housing mixed-use complex in Austin, Texas. The groundbreaking is scheduled for January 2024, followed by ASPIRE II, a 200-unit mixed-use Senior Living development in 2025. Stacy's expertise extends to managed grants and contracts from various public and private sources, as well as secured partnerships and sponsorships from renowned organizations, including: CDFI, SBA, Google, eBay/Paypal, HP, City of Austin, Travis County/Housing Authority, TxDOT, Ferrovial, Centerpoint Energy, UT Austin, Austin Community College, Bank of America, Formula One, Citibank, Frost Bank, Regions Bank, Wood Forest National Bank, and more to help low income and minorities. Through these strategic collaborations, Stacy has created opportunities for underserved communities in sectors such as energy, transportation, housing, and education.
